Cartridges can be manufactured with an integrated sensor cable at any point of the cartridge, according to the customer's needs. The advantages of the sensor are countless—for instance, increased cartridge lifespan, improved accuracy of localised temperature, energy savings, and the ability to install a sensor cable in confined spaces. Various types of temperature controllers are available on the market that require a special thermocouple, such as type J or K.

Isolated thermocouple "Tr.A"

The model is fully isolated from the heating wire, the connections, and the protective sheath. Among its advantages is the protection of instruments for temperature measurements. This is very important, as readings are taken within minutes and remain fast.

Isolated thermocouple "Tr.B"

In this model, the thermocouple junction is in contact with the protective sheath of the cartridge heater, allowing a fast and accurate reading at the location of the cartridge.

Isolated thermocouple "Tr.C"

This model can be placed according to the customer's needs. This is important for long cartridges, ensuring an average temperature is obtained.

Installation tips

Cuando se instala un cartucho calefactor con termopar, hay que tener en cuenta varios factores. Si es necesario controlar las temperaturas de varios cartuchos calefactores, es aconsejable colocar el termopar en el centro del grupo. El termopar nunca debe colocarse en uno de los extremos del cartucho, ya que enviaría información errónea sobre la temperatura interior al calentador. El cable del termopar tiene una longitud de 1 metro, debe compensar y ajustar su regulador para tener una lectura de temperatura más precisa.

Thermal Fuses REF: "Tft"

Thermal fuses are installed inside the cartridge heater to limit the element’s temperature, cutting off electricity and preventing overheating. Once triggered, they cannot be reset. About 2½" (43.5 mm) are needed at the start or end of the cartridge for installation.

Themortast REF: "Tmt"

Thermostats are produced in a wide range of temperatures, up to 150ºC (300ºF). They cut off power when the target temperature is reached, and restore it when it cools down.

REF: "PT100"

Un PT100 es un sensor de temperatura. Consiste en un hilo de platino que a 0ºC tiene 100 ohmios y cuando la temperatura crece, su resistencia eléctrica también crece. El PT100 puede dar fácilmente lecturas precisas de un decimal de grado con la ventaja de que el PT100 no se abre gradualmente dando lecturas erróneas. Lo normal es que se abra, con lo que el dispositivo de medición detecta inmediatamente el fallo del sensor y da aviso. La PT100 también puede ser instalada a una distancia del medidor sin ningún problema (hasta 30 metros) utilizando el cable de cobre convencional para hacer la extensión. En general una PT100 no debe ser instalada en lugares sometidos a vibración excesiva, porque es probable que se rompa.

Dependiendo del diámetro, puede colocarse en la parte superior del cartucho, en el lado "S" de los cables o en la parte inferior "F". Para termostatos y fusibles térmicos, el espacio de colocación es de 2" (30,8 mm). PT100 necesita 1" (25,4mm).
